Information
Welcome to Joint Base Lindsey-Graham, the launching point for the nation's resolve. Joint Base Lindsey-Graham is one of 12 joint bases and hosts over 60 Department of War and federal agencies. The installation supports over 90,000 service members, dependents, and retirees across multiple sub-installations. In particular, the Air Base, formerly known as Charleston Air Force Base, and the Weapons Station, formerly Charleston Naval Weapons Station. Most standard facilities and services are available on both sub-installations. Once you get checked in, each has its own military housing office, commissary, and base exchange to help you get settled in. On-base housing communities are available for both sub-installations, but there are also great off-base options in the local area. Families will be happy to know that many of the local schools near Joint Base Lindsey-Graham are at or above average and make special efforts to support military families. Both sub-installations also offer a variety of recreation opportunities, from community pools to bowling alleys, golf courses, and more. The local area, with its close proximity to historic Charleston, South Carolina, is also full of great restaurants and fun things to do with family and friends. If you're new to Joint Base Lindsey-Graham, you're in for a great few years in coastal South Carolina. Welcome to Team Charleston!
