Welcome to Naval Base Point Loma, consolidated in 1998 from six sub-installations, today it serves as a highly technical hub of Naval activity, supporting over 22,000 active duty reservists, civilians, and contractors. If you're just arriving, stop by the Pass-an-ID office just up the road from the sub-base main gate to get your base access credentials, then check in with your Gaining Command. Housing for Families is managed by the Naval Base San Diego Housing Services Center, offering support for both on- and off-base living. While Point Loma doesn't have its own commissary, commissaries at Naval Base San Diego and Coronado are just a short drive away. Fortunately, Point Loma does have a fully stocked Naval Exchange for all of your everyday needs. Off-duty, you'll love the installation's beautiful parks, beaches, and marina. Plus, you have incredible access to the historic Cabrillo National Monument. With year-round sun, beautiful beaches, and easy access to the unbeatable dining and recreation of San Diego, you're in for a treat. Welcome to Naval Base Point Loma!
