From fine dining experiences to local pubs and more, you’ll find plenty of delicious menus available to troops and their families. 1. Simon & Seafort's Saloon & Grill

Dining at Simon & Seafort's Saloon & Grill offers arguably the best dining experience in all of Anchorage.

Not only do you have mouthwatering options for brunch, lunch, and dinner, but the expansive cocktail menu, local brews, and eclectic wine parings are second to none.

Still looking for a reason to visit? The location just north of Bootleggers Cove just off of the water means you’ll enjoy your dry-aged steak and fresh seafood with one of the best views in the city.

2. Club Paris

Club Paris is known for their dry-aged steaks, including the 4" thick filet mignon that helps make the restaurant a local institution. However, if you’re thinking this is just another steakhouse, you may want to rethink things.

3. 49th State Brewing

Dining at 49th State Brewing is more than just another pub experience. It’s an ode to the state it calls home.

You’ll find plenty of bar bites staples like wings and nachos that are also sitting right next to more sophisticated main dishes, such as the Parmesan and Asiago Crusted Halibut.

4. Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop

Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop is located in South Addition offering Anchorage a variety of homemade bakery treats complimented by fair-trade coffee and tea.

It’s the perfect place to stop in for a loaf of artisan bread to use at home, enjoy a delicious tart, order a cake for a special occasion, and many other bakery treats.

If you’re looking to sit down and enjoy lunch or dinner, the team also offers a rotating selection of sandwiches and soups perfect for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner.

5. Fletcher's

Inside the Hotel Captain Hook is the highly-rated pub known as Fletcher's. Everything from lighter bites to heavier fare is available with a menu offering pizza, wings, calamari, pasta, seafood, and many other mouthwatering options.

Just like many of the other fine eateries on our list, you’ll find plenty of cocktails, wine, and local brews to make your meal that much better. There are plenty of inventive mocktails available as well.

6. Snow City Cafe

Since 1998, Snow City Cafe has been providing fun, delicious breakfast and lunch items, including fluffy pancakes, fresh salads, festive mimosas, and a whole lot more!

This family-friendly institution is known for and wide, so be sure to check when the waitlist is open or call ahead to ensure you and your party can grab a table.

The menu is massive, so there’s something for everyone, including the kids and kids at heart.

7. Sorrento’s

Maybe it’s the Italian classics, such as fettuccine alfredo, eggplant parmigiana, or lasagna al italiana that keep people coming back to Sorrento's.

However, we think it’s much more than that.

This family-owned Italian-American joint has been a part of the community for over 45 years and continues to be a staple for locals and visitors of Anchorage year-round. It’s affordable fare with an “at-home” cozy vibe.

Sorrento’s is located right down the road from the Anchorage Air Force Base making it a great location to get away from the barracks but still eat local.
