Welcome to Anniston Army Depot in Alabama. Anniston Army Depot, or ANAD, is a U.S. Army maintenance center and munitions storage site. The depot is known for its heavy combat vehicle, small arms weaponry, and locomotive expertise. The depot encompasses more than 25 square miles, with 3.5 million square feet of maintenance and production buildings and 6.8 million square feet of storage buildings. Anniston Army Depot is found in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northeastern Alabama's Calhoun County. To the west of the installation is Birmingham, Alabama; to the east is Atlanta, Georgia. - From I-20 east, take Exit 173 to Country Road 5/Country Road 93/John N. Wills Avenue.
- Turn right onto U.S. Route 78 east.

- Take Interstate 20 west for approximately 85 miles.
- Take Exit 179 (Munford/Coldwater).
- Continue on state Route 202.
