About MCAS Yuma

Welcome to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona. MCAS Yuma is an aviation training base that provides access to more than 1 million acres of bombing and aviation-training ranges. MCAS Yuma supports 80 percent of the Marine Corps' air-to-ground aviation training. Twice a year, the air station hosts the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course. This seven-week course provides advanced tactical aviation training. MCAS Yuma's population includes approximately 4,000 active-duty Marines and sailors. And each year, the station hosts approximately 70 aviation units that bring an average of 600 aircraft and 14,000 personnel to the air station for ongoing training.
