2. Fort Buchanan Fitness Center

The post’s 17,000-square-foot fitness center has strength, cardio, and weight training equipment. The center features a basketball court and tennis court, as well. Visit the center’s website for more information on exercise classes and other center amenities.

3. PFC Roberto E. Clemente Walker Annex

The post’s brand-new exercise facility is the PFC Roberto E. Clemente Walker Annex. This facility has functional fitness exercise equipment, including Kettlebells, battle ropes, TRX equipment, medicine balls, power racks, rowers, and non-motorized cardio equipment. Eco’s Sports Park has a variety of sport courts, including soccer fields; tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts; and padel courts (a sport that is a mix between tennis and racquetball). The park also has concession stands, a rooftop bar, a sports store, an activity room with video gaming systems, an outdoor movie cinema, and much more.

The Fort Buchanan Water Spout outdoor aquatic facility is open year-round. The pool has lanes for lap swimming, two giant slides, a zero-entry ramp into the shallow “beach” end of the pool, lily pads, a net crossing, and umbrellas. Fort Buchanan’s Outdoor Recreation provides opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors in Puerto Rico. Join a sightseeing trip, kayak adventure, or other planned trip. Outdoor Recreation also offers equipment rentals. Equipment rentals include sporting goods, water sports equipment, camping equipment, party equipment, inflatables, and other recreational gear.

The nearly 29,000-acre El Yunque National Forest is the only tropical rainforest in the national forest system. This biologically diverse area among the Luquillo Mountains is home to thousands of native plants and hundreds of smaller animals. This gentle forest has 24 miles of recreational trails, making it an ideal place for hiking in Puerto Rico. If you’d rather take in the forest from above, there are several El Yunque National Forest zipline adventure tour companies in the region. The 18-hole Río Bayamón Golf Course has 113 acres of beautiful tees, with narrow fairways, and river, lake, and stream crossings. The facility features a club house, putting green, chipping green, driving range, pro shop, and restaurant.
