Over 110,000 visitors pass through the doors of the CSPM every year. This includes field trips, tourists, and locals all looking to learn more about the beautiful area they call home. The Pikes Peak Regional history is on full display, making the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum a must-visit. Here’s what you need to know:
  • Although the museum is free for visitors, donations are encouraged to keep the preservation moving forward for generations to come. 215 S Tejon St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903 is the address of the CSPM.
  • Located less than 20 minutes away from military institutions such as Fort Carson and Peterson SFB, the museum is the perfect place for military members and their families to explore.
  • CSPM can be accessed Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. local time.
  • Artifacts, works of art, and various historical memorabilia can be found here, including seasonal/rotating exhibits and events.
  • Many of the pieces within the museum’s collection have been donated by locals.
  • Local history, including many prominent figures, can be learned about at the CSPM. There are also many exhibits and displays highlighting not only American settlers but also marginalized groups such as the Native Americans that came before us.
  • Historical artifacts as far back as 1870 can be found on display.
In addition to the wonderful exhibits and displays presented, the CSPM provides many different opportunities for learning about the history of the area. Family Fun Days help you learn while reconnecting with the local community. There are lectures available from experts and doctors willing to spread their wealth of knowledge. The Downtown History Stroll is a ¾-mile walk downtown that's yet another great way that the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum gives the local community a chance to learn and connect with one another.
