There are four public school districts on the island of Oahu: Honolulu, Central, Windward, and Leeward. Typically, the district your child will attend depends on where you reside. USCG Honolulu has very little government housing available for Coast Guard members. Charter schools in Hawaii are tuition-free public schools of choice that are open to all. Charter schools in Hawaii serve students in pre-K through 12th grade.
