Welcome to Naval Air Station Meridian! This base is located in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, approximately 15 miles from the city of Meridian. Receiving PCS orders can be exciting; however, figuring out where your child will attend school can be daunting. PCSing service members with school-age children should contact the NAS Meridian School Liaison Officer at 1 (601) 679-2473. The School Liaison Officer (SLO) serves as the primary link between schools, Commanders, and military parents pertaining to K-12 educational issues. The job of the SLO involves informing and linking military families to the resources and information needed to maximize educational opportunities and ensure academic success for all military children. There are no DoD schools in the area.

Providing a safe, secure environment, the Child Development Center (CDC) supplies so much more than coloring books and toys. Serving infants through children 5 years old, the CDC strives to provide quality childcare while also enhancing the development of each child. The CDC is open to all military (retired or active), DoD personnel, and contractors.
