This beautifully kept WWII aircraft carrier is a symbol of San Diego, located right along the downtown waterfront. Commissioned one week after the end of WWII, she was the largest aircraft carrier in the world until 1955. She served on active duty for 47 years and was finally decommissioned after 1992.
