Barracks for Coast Guard Housing in Honolulu Hawaii
Unaccompanied personnel housing is for single enlisted personnel in the ranks of E4 or below. Personnel who are assigned to ashore units live in Kukui Hall aboard Coast Guard Base Honolulu on Sand Island. The unaccompanied personnel housing manager for Kukui Hall can be reached at 1 (808) 842-2975. Personnel who are assigned to afloat units will be assigned berthing aboard their ship when they check in. Unaccompanied personnel in the ranks of E6 or below who are assigned to COMMSTA Honolulu will initially be assigned quarters in NCTAMS BEQ if they are available. If you will not be living in unaccompanied personnel housing, the Base Honolulu Housing Office should be one of your first stops. This office offers relocation services and information and support for military personnel and families as they move to their new base. Coast Guard members are required to check in with this office for information on housing procedures before they sign any leases for housing.

Military Housing for the Coast Guard in Honolulu, Hawaii
The Coast Guard has minimal government-owned housing in Hawaii. However, this housing must maintain full occupancy, so incoming members must check in with the housing office to ensure they are released from mandatory assignment to these housing units before they pursue other housing arrangements.
Other military family housing in Hawaii is privatized. Privatized housing companies are responsible for constructing, maintaining, repairing, and managing their military family communities. The Coast Guard does not have its own privatized military family housing in Hawaii, but has an agreement with Island Palm Communities (an Army housing partner). Island Palm Communities provides Coast Guard members the same assignment priority as Army members for its military family housing.
Coast Guard members may also choose to pursue placements on Air Force and Navy military family housing waitlists as well. Navy family housing is provided by Ohana Military Communities and Air Force family housing is provided by Hickam Communities.
