We’ve got the scoop on NAS Key West housing! House hunting can be tedious and even a little overwhelming, so we’ve compiled a guide to help get you started and give you an idea about your choices for NAS Key West housing on base.

NAS Key West BarracksUnaccompanied Housing is provided for E1-E4 ranked personnel at Key West. Unaccompanied Housing at NAS Key West serves approximately 100 service members and is split between two buildings on-base: Buildings 1350 and 1351. You’ll need to speak with the housing office to determine your eligibility for living on base. Building V-4059 serves as the check-in point for Unaccompanied Housing. Personnel will be provided with linens upon checking in. Accommodations are for one or two people depending on pay grade and square footage. Every UH building includes lounges with televisions, washers and dryers, and vending machines. There are also recreational, fitness, dining, religious, educational, and other amenities available. E6-E9 personnel can also live in the barracks as resident advisors. E4 and E5 personnel can also serve as RAs with regional commander approval. They provide a leadership presence for personnel in UH and perform other duties in exchange for housing. Geographic bachelors living on base without their families can also apply for the barracks but are not guaranteed to be approved for housing.

NAS Key West Housing OfficeYou should call the Housing Service Center at Key West after you receive your orders. The staff here can examine your needs and eligibility to help you figure out the right Key West military housing option for you. The Housing Office can provide information about the NAS Key West housing waitlist, barracks, the neighborhoods on base, and the nearby cities and suburbs. There’s plenty of military housing available at NAS Key West. The housing office will help get you started.

NAS Key West Housing OptionsOn-base housing at NAS Key West is privatized through Balfour Beatty Communities. Click here to browse their communities at NAS Key West, each of which offers its own floor plans and amenities. Homes range from 2-4 bedrooms and come in a wide variety of styles. 1. Navy Branch Medical Clinic
Ranks: E9, O1-O9 The Navy Branch Medical Clinic neighborhood is located on Cow Key Channel. Homes here are single-family affairs with three bedrooms and two and a half baths. These homes include a patio, a garage, water views, a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, and a community playground. Homes in this neighborhood also enjoy easy access to A1A.
2. Sigsbee Park
Ranks: E1-E8, DoD contractors, retired personnel The Sigsbee Park neighborhood offers two-, three-, and four-bedroom duplex and townhome-style houses. These homes feature central air conditioning, ceiling fans, exterior storage, and fully-equipped kitchens. The neighborhood is located near the commissary, the elementary school, the community playgrounds, the splash park, and more.
3. Truman Annex
Ranks: E6-E9, O6-O9 Truman Annex features two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes and one or two bathrooms. Homes here offer screened-in porches, exterior storage, ceiling fans, a community playground, and more. These ocean-view homes are close to the beach, and the neighborhood also offers its own playground and access to local parks.
4. Trumbo Point
Ranks: E9, O1-O6 Located right on the water, Trumbo Point offers three- and four-bedroom single-family homes with two and a half bathrooms. These homes feature a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a master suite, an open concept floor plan, a garage, and more. Trumbo Point also offers its own playgrounds, as well as a basketball court. The neighborhood’s location provides easy access to amenities in the surrounding area.
