The facility is made up of one- and two-person rooms, each getting individual bedrooms. Square footage is based on pay grade. The Navy Gateway Inns & Suites serves as the check-in point for all unaccompanied personnel located in building 2942. Linens are provided once you check in, and the unaccompanied housing lounges include televisions, washers and dryers, and vending machines. You will also have access to recreational, fitness, dining, religious, educational, and other amenities that are all within walking distance of the unaccompanied housing.

The neighborhoods within Whiting Field Homes and the rental houses come with a set of amenities that will make you feel right at home. Amenities vary depending on which home you choose at NAS Whiting Field base housing but include some of the following:

There are, however, private and technical schools in the community nearby. Bus transportation is provided to students living on base.
