To be enrolled in a Colorado school, a child must be at least 5 years old by Aug. 1 of the current school year. Registration typically requires a birth certificate or other proof of the child’s age and the child’s previous school records and immunization records. Note that kindergarten is not a required grade level for children in Colorado.
