Witte Museum Exhibits
The museum features special exhibits that aren’t available round the clock. If you’re lucky, you may catch special exhibits like Fiesta Vogue: Outfit of the Day (a look at San Antonio’s fashion scene), The Power of Poison (a look into Colombia’s poisonous flora and fauna), or James Ferdinand McCan: A Texas Artist Rediscovered (a look into artist McCan’s famous 20th-Century Texas paintings). For permanent installations, there’s a bunch to explore and learn from. The many in-depth, exciting exhibits here are just the beginning. The Witte Museum dinosaurs of the Naylor Family Dinosaur Gallery are a big draw for everyone interested in visiting. Here, you can jump back 110 million years into the past for a glimpse at animals of the Cretaceous Period. There are also exhibits and galleries featuring South Texas Heritage, People of the Pecos, and Texas Wildlife.
