What Is America250?

America250 is the official celebration of the United States turning 250 years old since its founding in 1776, when it was formally declared a free and independent nation.

The celebration is expected to be big, as the year of festivities began on Memorial Day 2025 and will continue through the end of 2026. Yes, that long of a celebration! The historic milestone invites the government, the private sector, non-profit, and educational institutions. Basically, everyone across the country is invited to celebrate this milestone.

For the milestone celebration, we expect every state to host an event in its honor. There will be history exhibits, festivals, parades, concerts, educational programs, historical reenactments, and much more! Other events have already started; some are ongoing, and there are still events scheduled through the end of 2026.
