About Cannon AFB

Welcome to Cannon Air Force Base! Located about 7 miles southwest of Clovis, New Mexico, Cannon is the home of the 27th Special Operations Wing. In addition to the 27th Special Operations Wing’s duty as the host wing, the unit uses advanced aircraft to infiltrate, exfiltrate and resupply special operations forces. The 27th Special Operations Wing also provides special operations forces with intelligence, reconnaissance and close air support. Cannon AFB is also home to the 27th Special Operations Maintenance Group and 27th Special Operations Medical Group. About 2,500 people live on-base.
