At Fort Knox, unaccompanied housing is available to enlisted ranks E-1 to E-5. All single service members must report to their unit to be assigned barracks space. Any personnel arriving on post after service hours will be assigned temporary living quarters until the next duty day. Every barracks space is furnished and within a reasonable distance of the dining area. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas, and there are no pets allowed in the barracks. The first thing you should do once you relocate to Fort Knox is head to the Housing Management Office. There you will receive a warm welcome from a team of professionals looking to help take the stress out of relocating. You will get assistance here with all of your housing needs and any information you need on military relocation. Fort Knox Family Homes
Military family housing on post at Fort Knox is privatized. The owner, Knox Hills by Lendlease, is responsible for maintaining and managing the community neighborhoods. We advise you to contact the Housing Management Office as soon as you know that you are moving to Fort Knox. There, you will receive the latest information about privatized housing and help with the application process from the government housing team. You will also be informed about post-specific policies. The Knox Hills community offers 20 distinct neighborhoods with two, three, and four-bedroom floor plans. There are many different floor plans and layouts in this well-kept community. Each neighborhood and rental house or duplex comes with a set of amenities that will make you feel right at home. Knox Hills Community Amenities
Amenities vary depending on the neighborhood you choose at Fort Knox but include some of the following: Air conditioning, fenced-in backyards, refrigerator, washer/dryer hookups, cable/Satellite hookups, garages, and carports. Each house also has a dishwasher, oven/stove range, and ceiling fans. Included in your rental are lawn services, trash and recycle pick up, and utilities are included. Select units will have a fireplace and basement. The rental homes at Knox Hills are newly upgraded and remodeled. As you come home each day, enjoy modern interior finishes, remodeled cabinets in your kitchen, and stylish vanities in the bathrooms. The community itself at Knox Hills offers amenities that will provide your family with entertainment year-round. The neighborhoods, much like your home, are pet friendly with a dog park on post. There are kids parks and a splash park within the gated community. There is also a basketball court, fitness center, and community center. Enjoy one of the many walking trails that make their way around the community.
