For families and those of higher rank, you can contact Fort Stewart Family Homes at 1 (912) 408-2480 to check the availability of privatized housing for your rank and family size.Fort Stewart Barracks
All single Soldiers must first report to the Marne Reception Center for in-processing on Fort Stewart. Soldiers will be assigned temporary barracks for the duration of in-processing requirements. Barracks are distributed once a soldier is assigned to a unit. Single Soldiers in the rank of private (E-1) to sergeant (E-5) are eligible to stay in the barracks. Some married soldiers may be eligible to stay in barracks under certain circumstances. To determine eligibility, contact the Marne reception center at 1 (912) 767-0115. Unaccompanied Soldiers in the rank of staff sergeant through captain are eligible to live in the Marne Point community apartments, which are managed by Balfour Beatty Communities, which also manages all privatized family housing for Stewart. Fort Stewart Family Homes
Fort Stewart Family Homes is a residential community just north of Hinesville, on-base at Fort Stewart. The community has single-family, duplex, townhome and apartment-style living, from two to five bedrooms. On-post housing boasts 10 pet-friendly (even large dogs!) neighborhoods with amenities like basketball courts, community centers with fitness rooms, dog parks, playgrounds, tot lots and splash parks. Residents in Fort Stewart Family Homes can enjoy the convenience of on-site management and maintenance, curbside trash and recycling pick-up, lawn care services, and a calendar full of resident activities and events. School-age children living in Fort Stewart Family Homes can enroll and attend one of the three elementary schools found on post. These are Department of Defense schools; middle school and high school students living on post will enroll in the Liberty County School System. Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8.
