NAS JRB Fort Worth is the successor to Naval Air Station Dallas and incorporates other Reserve commands and activities, primarily those of the Air Force Reserve, that was present on site when the installation was known as Carswell Air Force Base. The facility was formerly under the Strategic Air Command (SAC) and was later transferred to the Air Combat Command (ACC).
