Barksdale AFB On-Base Housing Options

Military family housing at Barksdale AFB is provided by Hunt Military Communities. There are five neighborhoods on the base with single-family, townhome, and duplex-style homes. The five different communities offer a variety of features that will help you feel right at home, including playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis court, swimming pools, exercise facility, walking trails, community events, and a whole lot more. The neighborhoods also include 24-hour maintenance services, garages attached and unattached for plenty of storage at no extra cost, refrigerator/dishwasher/garbage disposal/stove, Energy Star appliances, as well as trash and recycling pick-up. Barksdale AFB does allow certain pets with no pet deposit, but this is only available in certain neighborhoods and there is a limit of two pets per home. E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E06 Heritage Heights is located on the East Side of Barksdale and features 2, 3, and 4 bedroom traditional and contemporary homes. The homes in Heritage Heights offer the largest variety of floor plans on the base for you to choose from. These homes include wood flooring in select homes, brick/vinyl siding exteriors, plenty of closet space, recessed lighting in select homes, washer/dryer hookups, covered patio, fireplace in select homes, landscaping services, and more.

2. Liberty Heights

E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E06 Liberty Heights is located on the East Side of Barksdale and features 3 and 4 bedroom homes. These homes include wood flooring in select homes, vinyl/stucco siding exteriors, plenty of closet space, washer/dryer hookups, covered patio, access to community pool, all basic utilities, landscaping services, no pet deposit for up to 2 pets (breed and size restrictions do apply), and more.

3. Main Base Enlisted

E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E06, E07, E08, E09 Main Base Historic and Compatible features 3 and 4 bedroom historic French Revival homes. These homes were originally built in 1932, but renovations were made in 2010 and 2011. This charming, classically-Louisiana neighborhood boasts beautiful tree-lined streets. These homes include washer/dryer hookups, 1-car detached garage, fireplace in select homes, blinds, 24-hour emergency maintenance services, all utilities, refrigerator/dishwasher/garbage disposal, no pet deposit for up to 2 pets (breed and size restrictions do apply), and more.

4. Main Base Compatible

E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E06, E07 These homes include 3-4 bedrooms with 2.5 baths. Each home boasts open concept living, dining, family room, and kitchen. Every floor plan promises ample countertop space, as well as a large pantry and a separate laundry room offering more storage. Upstairs there is a large master suite with a private bath and 2-3 bedrooms.

5. New Heritage Heights

E07, E08, E09, O01, O02, O03 New Heritage Heights is located on the East Side of Barksdale and features 3-4 bedroom homes. This is a smaller community made up of less than 50 homes.
