Maxwell AFB BAH

Maxwell AFB BAH

Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) is a monthly stipend that’s given to service members and their families who live off base in the surrounding area. It’s designed to make up for the amenities and services that those who live on base either in the barracks or the managed communities would receive. BAH is calculated by taking your rank and zip code and formulating what you’re statistically likely to need for living expenses. It’s a great way to cut housing costs and save more of your paycheck each month.

You can follow this link to look up your Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for your rank and zip code. This will help you create your budget and guide your home search.
