NAS JRB Fort Worth Barracks

At NAS JRB Fort Worth, unaccompanied housing is available to personnel in pay grades E1-E4. Unaccompanied senior personnel may also be eligible to live in unaccompanied housing based on availability. Otherwise, they will be required to find housing off-base within the community. All single service members must report to their unit to be assigned barracks space. Any personnel arriving on base after service hours will be assigned temporary living quarters until the next duty day.

The rooms serve as accommodations for one person, and you will receive linens upon check-in. The facilities include lounges with televisions, washers and dryers, and vending machines in all buildings. Other amenities include recreational, fitness, dining, religious, and educational centers.

There you will receive a warm welcome from a team of professionals looking to help take the stress out of relocating. You will get assistance here with all of your housing needs and any information you need on military relocation. The Housing Service Office provides services that will help you with referrals, relocation assistance, guidance for entering a lease agreement, and tenant-landlord disputes.

Military family housing at NAS JRB Fort Worth is privatized. The owner, Balfour Beatty Communities, is responsible for maintaining and managing the community neighborhoods.

We advise you to contact the Housing Service Office as soon as you know that you are moving to NAS JRB Fort Worth. There, you will receive the latest information about privatized housing and help with the application process from the government housing team. You will also be informed about base-specific policies.

Balfour Beatty Communities offers a scenic gated community with many rental homes and townhouse styles in their neighborhoods with two, three, and four-room floor plans. Each neighborhood and rental house comes with a set of amenities that will make you feel right at home.

Amenities vary depending on which of the neighborhoods you choose at NAS JRB Fort Worth but include some of the following: master suites, ample closet and storage space, updated finishes, fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer connections, and central heating and air conditioning.

The community itself offers amenities that will provide your family with entertainment year-round. The neighborhoods include parks and playgrounds that are perfect for a family outing right on base. There are also walking and bike paths, basketball courts, and Community Center, and all neighborhoods are within walking distance and have easy access to all of the NAS JRB Fort Worth facilities. Be sure to keep up to date with the community as there are many free community events hosted throughout the year.

Applying here is similar to living in the local community. You will sign a tenant lease agreement, typically for a one-year term. Your lease will include a military clause and a lease termination clause. Rent is paid by authorizing an allotment of your BAH that is paid directly to the property manager.

If your family has school-aged children, the housing on base is within the Fort Worth Independent School District, which is the largest in the area. There are no schools on base at NAS JRB Fort Worth. Bus services are available for public schools that are a mile and a half and farther away.

NAS JRB Fort Worth Family Home Neighborhoods

1. Captains Row

Ranks: O5-O9

Offering two, three, and four-bedroom single-family homes, the Captains Row neighborhood is an excellent place to call home. Amenities include a fireplace, garage, master suite, wood flooring, and more. You’ll also be located near the lake in the community, playgrounds, and the basketball court.

2. Carswell

Ranks: E7-E9, O1-O4

The four-bedroom home neighborhood of Carswell features a master suite, porch, patio, and fully equipped kitchen. You’ll also be near the Commissary, Exchange, and playgrounds here.

3. Nimitz

Ranks: E1-E6

In the Nimitz neighborhood, you will find homes with two, three, and four-bedroom floor plans. Some of the amenities for this neighborhood includes a fully-equipped kitchen, carport, exterior storage, patio, and a fenced-in backyard. You will be near the front cate of the community with easy access to the Hawks Creek Golf Club and one of the largest playgrounds in the community.

4. Townhouse Area

Ranks: E1-E6

The two-bedroom townhomes of the Townhouse Area neighborhood features exterior storage, a master suite with a walk-in closet, and a fully-equipped kitchen. You’ll have access to your own neighborhood-specific playground and will be within walking distance of the Commissary, Exchange, base fitness center, and Naval Air Station Library.
