The Brevard Public School’s Office of School Choice monitors the district’s charter schools for compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Brevard charter schools’ mission is to challenge standard educational practices and offer innovative educational opportunities. Many of the charter schools in Brevard County have specialized areas of study, such as technology, the arts or a back-to-basics core-subject approach. Other charter schools are specifically structured to work with gifted, developmentally disabled or at-risk students.

The Florida Parent-Educators Association serves thousands of home-school families in Florida with support, information and guidance. The association brings together home-schoolers, creating opportunities for families to connect and share resources, and also acts as an ambassador, serving and protecting the rights of home-schoolers.
