Technical Training Schools
Five technical training school programs are conducted at Port Hueneme, bringing nearly 20,000 students to Naval Base Ventura County every year. Participants come from around the world and include active-duty officers and enlisted members as well as DOD civilians.
Included are construction courses for Seabees; courses for civil engineering officers, facility engineers and environmental professionals; an Engineering Duty Officer school; training for active-duty and civilian members of the defense acquisition workforce; and an automotive technical training school for members of the Army, Navy and Marine Corps.
Also located at Port Hueneme is the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering, which is responsible for the training of Navy construction and facilities engineering professionals at five different training commands.
