Are you ready to be a part of something great in the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon, Georgia? Now that you’ve received your PCS orders, you may be concerned about finding a place to live. House hunting under any conditions can be overwhelming but it’s amplified when you’re moving somewhere you’ve probably never been before and you don’t have a lot of time to do research for yourself. Don’t worry, we’ve put together this useful guide to help you find everything you need to know about the Fort Gordon housing options available on post.

Fort Gordon Barracks

All single Soldiers must first report to the Darling Hall for inprocessing on Fort Gordon. Soldiers will be assigned temporary barracks for the duration of inprocessing requirements. Barracks are distributed once a soldier is assigned to a unit. Single soldiers are eligible to stay in the barracks. There are no unaccompanied personnel housing units for officers or senior enlisted personnel available on the installation. To determine eligibility, contact Darling Hall at 1 (706) 791-3579.

The Housing Services Office should be your first stop. This office offers relocation services and information on new duty stations (worldwide) for soldiers and their families as they get settled into their new surroundings.

Fort Gordon Family Homes

Fort Gordon Family Homes is a residential community just west of Augusta, on post at Fort Gordon. The community is managed by Balfour Beatty Communities and has single-family homes from two to five bedrooms. On-post housing boasts six pet-friendly neighborhoods with amenities like a community center, playgrounds, fitness centers, tennis courts, basketball courts, and more. Residents in Fort Gordon Family Homes can enjoy the convenience of on-site management and maintenance, business centers, and a calendar full of resident activities and events. School-age children living in Fort Gordon Family Homes can enroll and attend Freedom Park School, part of the Richmond County School System, or a school in other nearby districts: Columbia County School District in Georgia and the Aiken County Public School District in South Carolina. Note: Fort Gordon Family Homes is open for active-duty military personnel of a certain rank stationed at Fort Gordon. Select neighborhoods are open to other qualified applicants, including military retirees, DOD civilian employees, and general public applicants in select neighborhoods.

1. Boardman Lake

Ranks:

O7-O9 The Boardman Lake neighborhood offers four-bedroom homes and is conveniently located near the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and McKinney Gate 1. Features in these homes include a two or three-car garage, laundry room with utility sink, master suite, covered patio, and fenced-in backyard. Residents in Boardman Lake are also just steps from playgrounds, tennis courts and a basketball court.

2. Gordon Terrace

Ranks:

All ranks; military retirees, DOD civilian employees, and general public The Gordon Terrace neighborhood offers two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes featuring ample storage space, a master suite, a fully equipped kitchen, and a patio. Residents in this neighborhood enjoy their own playground and are conveniently located near the shoppette, Freedom Park School, Fort Gordon dog park, and the commissary.

3. Lakeview Terrace

Ranks:

E7-9; O1-O6; W1-W5 In Lakeview Terrace you will find three and four-bedroom homes featuring exterior storage, a master suite, a covered patio, and a fenced-in backyard. This neighborhood offers a playground and basketball court and is conveniently located near the Fort Gordon Outdoor Pool and Spray Park, Fort Gordon dog park, and the commissary.

4. Maglin Terrace

Ranks:

O1-O9; W1-W5 The Maglin Terrace neighborhood is conveniently located near Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and McKinney Gate 1. Maglin Terrace offers three and four-bedroom homes with ample closets and storage, a fully equipped kitchen, master suite, and carport. This neighborhood also includes playgrounds, tennis courts, and a basketball court.

5. McNair Terrace

Ranks:

All ranks; military retirees, DOD civilian employees, and general public McNair Terrace offers three and four-bedroom floor plans that include such features as exterior storage, central heating, and air conditioning, and a master suite. This neighborhood is conveniently located near Freedom Park School, the Fort Gordon Teen Center, and Fort Gordon dog park. Amenities in this neighborhood include multiple playgrounds and tennis courts.

6. Olive Terrace

Ranks:

All ranks; military retirees, DOD civilian employees, and general public Located within walking distance of Freedom Park School and the community center, the Olive Terrace neighborhood includes three, four, and five-bedroom homes featuring a garage, exterior storage, covered patio, and fenced-in backyard. Amenities in this neighborhood include a playground and basketball court.
