The Charleston Club is a 43,000-square-foot facility offering a variety of dining, entertainment and special function options.

Start your weekday with a Starbucks coffee and a breakfast croissant or other value-priced breakfast items.

Monday through Friday, the Charleston Club is the place for lunch, with its delicious selection of made-to-order sandwiches, burgers, platters and salads. Friday offers an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet for lunch, and a carved roast beef and chicken buffet for dinner. Delivery service is available Thursday through Saturday nights.

Relieve the stress of the day by stopping in at Rookies Sports Grill and enjoy an offering from our robust menu, great conversation with friends and all your favorite sports on some of the largest screens in the lowcountry and the unique “Sound Dog” system.

With its full catering staff, the club is a popular choice for weddings, reunions, parties and other events, with seating for up to 500 people. Become a club member and receive discounts on meals and special events.

Add monthly family nights, weekly Big Bucks & Bonanza Bingo, a barbershop and Wi-Fi to the mix, and the Charleston Club becomes the place to go on JB Charleston.

The Gaylor Dining Facility offers cafeteria-style and breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight meals. The modern facility has full-service snack and main entree lines, and salad, pastry and ice cream bars. The facility supports the 437th and 315th Airlift Wings and the 628th Air Base Wing by providing more than 187,000 hot, nutritious meals annually. This facility’s primary mission is to provide subsistence for dorm residents.

The Galley

The Galley is a five-star award-winning facility serving approximately 3,000 meals daily at the NNPTC complex. Aside from serving the NNPTC students, the Galley also serves active-duty and Reserve members who work throughout the base.

Redbank Club Complex

The Palmetto Grill is the Weapons Station’s most popular lunch destination, offering great food in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The room can also be reserved for functions for up to 100 people. The Palmetto Lounge is a beautiful, full-service bar area and may be reserved for private parties for up to 75 people.

The Redbank Club Ballroom is great for wedding receptions, business parties or other special events. The ballroom features a beautiful oak bar and an elevated stage and dance floor. The ballroom offers complete catering services, from light hors d’oeuvres to full course meals for up to 250 people.

The Conference Room, secluded behind the ballroom, is a great choice for private parties, luncheons or meetings for up to 50 people.

The Storm Pointe Conference Center, nestled in a stunning area overlooking the Cooper River and surrounded with live oaks draped with Spanish moss, is the perfect spot for business meetings or special events. Full-service catering is available for up to 100 people in this lush, river-front atmosphere. Planning an outdoor event? The Gazebo at Storm Pointe is the perfect shelter to enhance any outdoor occasion including weddings, receptions, command ceremonies and much more. The gazebo has an elevated stage and a striking river view.

The Dive Bar & Grill

The Dive Bar & Grill is at the corner of Redbank Road and Fletcher Street next to Marrington Bowling Center. The Dive offers a delicious menu seven days a week featuring its signature flame-broiled burgers, jumbo wings and a host of other great bar food favorites. At its handsome 40-foot oak bar, you can enjoy a selection of 16 craft beers and a full range of fine spirits and non-alcoholic refreshments. If sports is your thing, the bar offers the NFL package, MLB package, golf channel and all major sporting events on 10 55-inch high-definition TVs. Additionally, the bar is known for its 18-foot HDprojection TV. Friday night karaoke is a fan favorite but if you are not interested in showing off your talents, there are DJs and live music. In addition, there are billiards, pingpong, foosball and cornhole for those who enjoy healthy competition, as well as free Internet access.

Joint Base Charleston Framing and Engraving

Specialists in custom framing and engraving, the shop’s trained and experienced staff will assist you in choosing the molding, matting and layout for your framed item. There are hundreds of frames and mat samples to choose from. Whether for retirements, going-away presents or other occasions — Framing and Engraving can provide outstanding service at reasonable prices in Charleston. In addition, the engraving section can order and engrave your trophies, quarterly/annual awards or plaques. Planning a wedding? The shop can assist with bridesmaids’ and groomsmen’s gifts or a personalized wedding gift for the bride and groom. Do you not see what you want in stock? Bring in a picture or idea and they will work with you on the graphic design and layout of shadowboxes, glassware, specialty framing and more.

The Framing and Engraving Shop also assists patrons with placing vehicles, trailers and recreational vehicles on the Air Base Resale Lot on Davis Drive. Bring in current registration and insurance and the shop can help you get it sold for a minimal fee. Additionally, the Air Base Car Wash is located on Davis Drive. Four wash stalls and two power vacuums help the base population keep their vehicles clean

Outdoor Recreation Center

The Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC) is the place to be for equipment rentals, FamCamp, the Air Base picnic area, skeet and trap range, swimming pool, recreational vehicle (RV) storage lot, outdoor recreation programs, and trips, tours and tickets to amusements and attractions. The more than 100 items for rent include camping and fishing gear, party games, dunk tanks, boats and kayaks. Get a full-body workout while having a blast tackling the Climbing Wall. Walk-ins and beginners are welcome. Enjoy the great outdoors with the newly renovated and expanded FamCamp. Look no further to find the perfect place for a picnic. The grounds feature three covered pavilions that include grills, as well as soda machines, bathrooms, water and electricity. Experience precision shooting at the Skeet & Trap range (guns and ammunition are not provided). Stop by the pool during the summer to have fun with “Silly Summer Games” or work out in the Military Training games. The ORC has trips and tours available every month. You and your family can discover all of the outdoors, try football games, tour Savannah, go kayaking or canoeing and take classes in scuba or stand-up paddle board. Single Airman Initiative

Single Airman Initiative (SAI) provides single and unaccompanied Airmen and Sailors, ages 18 to 25, off-duty programing and social activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, adding quality of life. Free or reduced-priced programming offering high-adventure activities and fitness help provide a solid community base. Excursions include volunteer opportunities, skydiving, rafting, paintball, kayaking, cornhole tournaments and more.


Bowman Center

Working side by side with SAI, this program offers active-duty military E-1 to E-6 off-duty programming and entertainment. The Bowman Center on the campus of NNPTC is open more than 90 hours a week, offering Sailors a high-tech recreation center. Re-energize with gaming, a pool tournament or the latest film from Navy Motion Picture Service.

Joint Base Charleston Bowling

Two locations offer clean, affordable, tobacco-free, family-friendly fun. The bowling alleys are “the” spot available for special events of all sizes, bowling birthday parties or a few practice lines. The centers offer state-of-the-art lanes and scoring equipment, full-service pro shops and organized tournaments and leagues. Feeling lucky? Two vastly different Bingo programs make a stop at each location.

Best Air Mobility Command Golf program for four years and holding: Both locations offer PGA instruction, full-service snack bars and golf shops, practice greens and driving ranges, tournament play and organization fundraising opportunities. All of this at competitive fees in a very golf-friendly community: two locations with two unique golfing experiences.

Wrenwoods Golf Course

Wrenwoods is a world-class-designed golf course sculpted from 200 acres within the gates of JB Charleston – Air Base. As both the namesake of the state bird as well as a nod to the many native Southern pines found throughout South Carolina, Wrenwoods supports an abundant wildlife population that provides the perfect backdrop for a serene golf setting.

The Par-72 course maintains a reputable layout. Designed by George Cobb in 1966, the course remains true to his philosophy of “providing a good-time atmosphere.” The lush fairways and roughs — Tifdwarf Bermudagrass greens — combined with an array of teeing areas, allow golfers of all levels to enjoy Wrenwoods.

Redbank Plantation Golf Course

Test your skill amid the serenity of 125 acres of rolling, lush terrain. Huge oaks and bountiful wildlife surround you in this challenging course set within natural marshland. Authorized Weapons Station personnel can now bring guests to play at the course. Guests are permitted through the main gate (with photo ID) when accompanying authorized personnel.

Auto Skills Center

Whether you’re a do-it-yourselfer or depend on the help of a skilled automotive professional for vehicle maintenance and repair, we’ve got everything you need to make car problems things of the past. The Auto Skills Center offers automobile and motorcycle service bays. A full line of tools is available and is included with every bay rental. The center carries basic lines of automotive chemicals, additives and lubricants as well as the most popular oils, filters and battery brands. Need a part that’s not in stock? The center will order it and have it delivered, usually within the hour. Services offered include computer diagnostic services; automotive air conditioning services; wheel balancing; oil and filter changes; turning brake drums and rotors; fuel systems cleaning; and batteries and electrical systems check. Selling a car, truck, camper, boat or motorcycle? The JB Charleston – Weapons Station’s “Hot Deals on Wheels” used-vehicle lot offers the only authorized place to display vehicles for sale on the Weapons Station. The center offers early bird drop-off service for your convenience. Lastly, keep it clean…your vehicle, that is, with a stop at MenRiv car wash on Red Bank Road near the NEX.

Outdoor Adventure Center

The Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) on the Weapons Station is your one-stop for rental equipment, event information and local attraction tickets. State and Weapons Station hunting and fishing passes, as well as Marrington Plantation use passes, are available year-round. Still need adventure? Try the 30-foot climbing wall. Need space for relatives coming to the Charleston area? Try our fully equipped two- to four-bedroom vacation rentals or the family-friendly RV camp. Foster Creek Villas and FamCamp are affordable options right here on the Weapons Station. Reservations can be made 90 days in advance.

Cinema One Theater

The Cinema One Theater in Building 718 at the Weapons Station features free movies brought to you by the Navy Motion Picture Service. Movies are shown Friday and Saturday evenings with Sunday matinees. The theater opens a half-hour before showtime. Look for special holiday and vacation showings. Check the Breeze or for a complete listing of monthly movies. Looking for an affordable, unique party or birthday for you and 143 of your closest friends? Just add popcorn, hundreds of film titles to choose from and make it a movie memory event. Visit the OAC for more information.

Short Stay Outdoor Recreation Area

It’s easy to rent log cabins, two- to three-bedroom villas, or a two-bedroom roundette at this beautiful 55-acre lakeside recreational getaway. The facility also has 91 RV sites. Reservations may be made three months in advance for all eligible personnel either by phone, in person or online at Area amenities include a convenience store with a huge selection of freshwater tackle, game room, laundry, swimming beach, five picnic pavilions, two boat ramps, and the Lakeview Conference Center and Club House. Also available are 24-foot pontoon boats, 20-foot center consoles and 18-foot fish/ski boats, sailboats, stand up paddleboards (SUP), canoes and kayaks for rent at the Short Stay Boat Shop or the Life Guard Shack when the beach front is open. Organized activities include sailing, SUP and kayak classes from certified instructors. Live local entertainment on the beach on certain weekends during the summer. The office also sells fishing licenses.

Fitness and Sports Center

Joint Base Charleston – Air Base Fitness and Sports Center offers a broad range of facilities, programs and services. Customers can enjoy separate men’s and women’s locker rooms, saunas, steam rooms, basketball/volleyball courts, free weights, 120 cardiovascular machines, a 23-station circuit-training area, TRX training station, dual-screen indoor spinning room, parent/child play room, racquetball courts, outdoor basketball court, tennis courts, softball fields, a 400-meter oval track and a 2.6- and 3-mile lighted pathway. The Fitness Center caters to more than 250,000 patrons annually by offering more than 50 group exercise classes weekly, seven unit-level intramural sports leagues, CrossFit, salsa dance, martial arts and a Wellbeats virtual trainer. Patrons may also check out equipment including basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, boxing gear, jump ropes, racquetball gear, heart rate monitors, dodge balls and stop watches. Customers must provide their own locks for the center’s daily use lockers. Equipment orientations are available to all users by appointment.

Sam’s Gym Fitness and Racquetball Center

Stay motivated to break a sweat while choosing from more than 40 cardio machines, a full line of circuit training machines, three racquetball courts, a multipurpose basketball/volleyball court, and more than 4,000 pounds of free weights. The facility offers men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers and saunas. Personal trainers are a free service. Supplements, drinks and therapeutic massage are available for purchase. Outside facilities include six tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, softball facilities, a soccer/flag football field, soccer/ultimate Frisbee fields, a full 18-hole disc golf course and more. Patrons may check out equipment including basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, boxing gear, jump ropes, racquetball gear and more. Customers provide their own locks for the center’s daily use lockers. Fitness equipment orientation is available upon request.

Group Exercise Room

This state-of-the-art, 1,800-square-foot facility (next to Sam’s Gym Fitness and Racquetball Center) offers fitness classes that include step aerobics, high- and low-impact aerobics, spin, kickboxing, body sculpting, yoga and a Fitness on Request virtual trainer. Times and prices vary per class.

Eastside Wellness Center

Build strength and confidence with Iron Grip dumbbells/free weights and a wide selection of cardio and circuit training equipment. This facility has upgraded locker rooms, showers and fitness area. Personal trainers are available by appointment.

New Wave Aquatic Center

Escape the summer heat with a cool dip in the pool, open from Memorial Day through mid-August. The facility’s programs include youth and adult swim lessons, lifeguard courses, water aerobics, special parties and more. Amenities include two diving boards, a 35-foot slide, a climbing wall and hot showers. Families will enjoy the baby pool and shaded break area with tables. Lap swimming is scheduled in the early morning as well as early afternoon. Individual and family passes are available for a low cost.
