The spacious base theater, operated by the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, shows recently released movies Thursday through Sunday evening, with occasional matinees on Saturday afternoons. With a well-stocked snack bar and 700 seat capacity, the base theater is one of the best bargains in town. Check the base newspaper, the Missileer, for current movie listings and times.

In addition to showing movies, the theater is also used for commander’s calls, base meetings and briefings and change of command ceremonies.

Bowling Center
(321) 494-2958
The Patrick AFB “Rocket Lanes” Bowling Center is one of the finest modern bowling facilities in the Air Force. It is equipped with 20 synthetic AMF high performance lanes and state-of-the-art Qubica scoring systems and pinsetters. Lockers are available and may be rented on an annual basis. The Pro Shop carries a complete line of bowling supplies including a large selection of bowling balls, bags, shoes, grips and other bowling accessories. The snack bar features a variety of sandwiches and soups, hamburgers, hot dogs, subs, nachos and daily lunch specials. A full breakfast menu is offered daily. Open bowling, leagues for men and women, extramural plan, mixed doubles, dependent youth leagues and the Young American Bowling Alliance are just a few of the programs offered. “Rock It Bowl” featured Friday and Saturday nights, gives an ultimate “glow-in-the-dark” experience with disco lights and great music.

Commissary
(321) 494-4060
The Patrick AFB commissary is operated by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The DeCA motto, “Quality first, people always,” sustains an efficient and effective system for selling groceries and household supplies at the lowest practical price, consistent with quality. Surveys show customers save an average of 25 percent on their grocery bills by patronizing the commissary.

Patrick AFB’s commissary does a large volume business—more than 57,000 customers each month. Thanks to 19 checkout lanes equipped with electronic scanners, waiting time for customers is greatly reduced. The commissary features a large sales area including a bakery and delicatessen. Customers are invited to use the suggestion box near the exit or talk to an advisory council representative to suggest a new item to be stocked.

The commissary is located next to the Main Exchange on South Patrick Drive.

Hours of operation are Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The commissary is closed on all federal holidays.
