The Mississippi coastal region is in a humid subtropical climate. So you can expect long, humid summers and short, mild winters. There’s also a decent amount of precipitation year-round, though it’s rarely ever snow. The region is also one that sees a lot of extreme weather during the Atlantic hurricane season which generally falls between May and November. So be prepared for major storms and the possibility that you may be asked to evacuate the area.
