Welcome to MCAS Yuma located in Yuma, Arizona! MCAS Yuma is located about 175 miles east of San Diego, California, about 183 southwest of Phoenix, Arizona, and about 236 miles west of Tucson, Arizona. The base was first built in 1928 and today serves approximately 6,592 active military men and women, 5,531 military family members, 2,651 civilians, and 5,000 transients. Now that you’ve received your orders and are making plans for the big move to your new home, you may be stressing about finding the home and the neighborhood that will be the best fit for you. The Military Housing Office will be happy to assist you prepare for your new adventure in the community of MCAS Yuma. The team is ready to help you familiarize yourself with the housing options and services available to you. When you first arrive at MCAS Yuma, you will need to visit the Military Housing Office and they will provide you with all of the necessary information and guidance you require before entering into any written lease or rental/sales contract for housing.

MCAS Yuma Housing Options

Military family housing at MCAS Yuma is privatized. The owner, Liberty Military Housing, is responsible for maintaining and managing the various communities on base. Liberty Military Housings has been serving military families for more than 50 years and they promise to provide their tenants with clear rental agreements with average utility usage included and no credit checks or deposits. We advise you to contact the Housing Management Office as soon as you know that you are moving to MCAS Yuma. This will ensure you receive all the necessary information about privatized housing, and the folks at the office will help you with the application process. You will also be informed about base-specific policies.

MCAS Yuma Liberty Military Housing

Liberty Military Housing offers on-base homes for those within the ranks of E1 and O5. The floor plans on base range from two bedrooms and one bath to four bedrooms and two and a half bath. Applying here is similar to living in the local community. You will sign a tenant lease agreement, typically for a one-year term. Your lease will include a military clause and a lease termination clause. Rent is paid by authorizing an allotment of your BAH that is paid directly to the property manager.

MCAS Yuma Liberty Military Amenities

Each home-type will come with its own set of perks and amenities that will help ensure that residents feel right at home. Some of these perks and amenities include: central air, gas range, garbage disposal, dishwasher, a covered carport or garage, 24-hour maintenance, courtesy patrols, free internet in community spaces, and ongoing community events. Additionally, each home-type is also pet friendly with a two pet limit for eighteen dogs or cats. There are certain restrictions on exotic pets and certain dog breeds, so if you have clarifying questions please make sure to contact the Lincoln Military Housing District Office. The community offers residents and their families with plenty of outdoor options so that you can take advantage of the sunshine year-round. The neighborhoods include parks and 18 covered tot-lots, as well as a swimming pool, so you can enjoy family outings without having to leave base and hopefully you will meet some of your new neighbors in the process. Also, there is a community center available for residents to reserve for parties and other special events, as well as an on-site gym with plenty of cardio and weight equipment.
