Marine Corps Base Quantico, often referred to as the “Crossroads of the Marine Corps,” is the centerpoint for Marine professional military education and training. Between the Training Command, Marine Corps University, and Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, over 3,000 Marines on average receive training at Quantico each year. These Marines learn the professional leadership skills and strategies, operations, and tactics needed to meet any challenge our nation might face.

The base is home to the Marine Corps Information Operations Center, Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Training and Education Command, Marine Corps University, The Basic School, Officer Candidates School, the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, Marine Helicopter Squadron One, and other tenant units.
