Welcome to Marine Corps Air Station New River, located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In 2014, Forbes ranked Jacksonville as the fifth-fastest growing small city in the United States. This is largely attributed to the military presence, as Jacksonville is also home to nearby Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, the largest Marine base on the east coast. Jacksonville is adjacent to the Crystal Coast, an 85-mile stretch of coastline that is a popular tourist destination in the summer. We hope this on-base guide for MCAS New River base housing provides a valuable resource.

In these communities, you’ll move into either newly constructed or recently renovated homes. All homes feature central heating and air conditioning, hook-ups for washers and dryers, a range, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Cable and internet service are available but not provided by the communities. All military personnel accompanied by dependents and permanently assigned to MCAS New River are eligible for family housing and may apply for all housing for which their rank is eligible. Submit on-base housing applications to the Family Housing Office. The PPVs offer many unique neighborhoods with a variety of floor plans that meet the needs of most families. The communities are near plenty of beaches, parks, and shopping. For the golf fans, Paradise Point Golf Course is a short walk or drive away. Amenities vary at each neighborhood but pets are welcome in each community. Contact the PPVs for specific breed restrictions. Some of these communities may have special offers on rent when you sign your lease by a specific date. Be sure to check with both PPVs for potential deals as well as more specifics on amenities and floor plans.
