The Mayport Commissary provides groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Authorized patrons can select from more than 16,000 products purchased at cost plus a 5 percent surcharge, which covers the cost of building new commissaries and modernizing existing ones. The Mayport commissary has a full-service deli/bakery and fresh seafood department.

Services at the Navy Exchange center include a barber/beauty shop, optical shop, flower shop, furniture and appliance store, personalized services and video rental. The food court also offers a variety of food choices. The Auto/Garden Center offers lawn, garden and patio supplies, hardware, home improvement items and a variety of automotive accessories.

The NEX has several locations offering services and merchandise, clothing, housewares, cameras, jewelry, small appliances, furniture, toiletries, school and office supplies, stereo equipment, toys, sporting goods, computers, and garden and pool supplies. Services include Java Junction with a bakery, flower shop, tailor shop, laundry/dry cleaning service, barbershop, beauty salon and an optical shop.

The main serving line offers a hot, main course, soup/salad bar, specialty bar and desserts, while the speed line offers a choice of hamburgers, a sub bar and hot wings to go. All meals can be enjoyed in the dining area or the outside deck. Only active duty military personnel are authorized to purchase meals from the general mess. All patrons are required to pay the appropriate meal cost unless authorized to eat at government expense (meal pass). Dependents of personnel in paygrades E-1 through E-4 will eat at a reduced cost.

Functions, special events and private parties may be booked.

The Zone offers a variety of entertainment for all hands. The complex features the Budweiser Brewhouse, All Hands Bingo, Fouled Anchor Chief Petty Officers’ Club and party rooms. Pick-up service includes 5-foot subs, wings, finger sandwiches and more.

Located inside Mayport Bowling Center, the grille’s walls are covered with NASCAR memorabilia including an authentic car hood and crew member suit from Sterling Marlin’s race team. The Chief Petty Officer’s (CPO) Club restaurant is open to All Hands for lunch Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The lunch menu consists of a variety of options including chicken tender baskets and wraps, barbecue sandwiches, hamburgers and more. The facility remains open after lunch for social hour on Tuesday and Wednesday until 8 p.m. and Thursday and Friday until 9 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and evening hours are designated “All Khaki” and are open to Chief Petty Officers, Officers and their guests. All other afternoon and evening hours at the Club are reserved for Chief Petty Officers and their guests, unless specifically advertised differently.

The center includes two historic chapels at the corner of Mustin and Birmingham roads: St. Edward’s (Roman Catholic) and All Saints’ (Protestant). Sunday Mass is at 9:30 a.m., and daily Mass is Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. Sunday service at All Saints’ is at 11 a.m. A wing of offices, meeting rooms and a social hall connect these buildings. A modern religious education complex is located behind the chapels. The Religious Ministries Department coordinates religious, social and educational events for more than 5,000 people every month. Special celebrations should be scheduled well in advance.

The chapel complex includes a main chapel that seats 400, multipurpose classrooms, religious education spaces, a small kitchen and fellowship hall. These spaces can be reserved for command and special events. Roman Catholic and Protestant worship services and religious education programs are held each Sunday and on special religious holidays. Roman Catholic Mass is at 9 a.m., and Protestant worship is at 10:30 a.m. Religious education classes are at 9 a.m. for Protestants and 10:15 a.m. for Roman Catholics. Chaplains are available for religious, personal and family counseling, to conduct training and to speak at special events.

Advice on a wide range of legal problems is available. Legal assistance is normally advisory only, but documents such as powers of attorney, wills, living wills, petitions for name changes and stepparent adoptions can be prepared. The Legal Assistance Office can also provide information and advice on such topics as consumer law, landlord-tenant disputes, contract interpretation, immigration, family law and real estate law. Powers of attorney and notarizations are available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1 to 3:30 p.m. All other services require an appointment. Urgent/emergency situations can be handled with same or next day service in most instances.

Region Legal Service Office Southeast provides legal advice to client commands throughout the Southeast United States and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The mission of RLSO Southeast is the expeditious processing of courts-martial prosecutions and providing command services advice to commands throughout its AOR.

This thrift shop is operated by the Navy Wives Club of America No. 86. Clothes, toys and household goods may be donated by anyone and are sold for a small fee to raise money that goes to charities such as the USO and Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

The shop carries a wide variety of items, from children’s clothing to military uniforms. Money raised from the sale of these items is donated back to the civilian and military communities.

Some examples of tickets offered are Disney World, Six Flags Over Georgia, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Jacksonville Jaguars and SeaWorld.

The Liberty Program, also known as the Single Sailor program, is geared toward enlisted bachelor and geo-bachelor personnel, E-1 through E-6. Special events, workshops, tournaments, inexpensive trips and more are scheduled on and off base each month, offering a variety of exciting programs and activities. The contemporary facility features a movie theater, a free computer lab, Wi-Fi throughout, laundromat, ATM, pool tables, video game stations, arcade games, ping-pong tables and a snack area. The facility is an alcohol- and smoke-free environment.
